Carpet Cleaners Battersea Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaners Battersea provides professional cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. By booking a service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following words have the meanings set out below:

Company means Carpet Cleaners Battersea, the cleaning service provider.

Customer means any individual, business, or organisation that books or receives services from the Company.

Services means carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, rug cleaning, and any other cleaning services provided by the Company as agreed with the Customer.

Premises means the address or location where the Services are to be performed.

Technician means any employee, contractor, or representative of the Company carrying out the Services.

Scope of Services

The Company provides professional carpet and related cleaning services within its designated service area. The precise Services to be provided will be set out and agreed with the Customer at the time of booking, including the type of cleaning, approximate duration, and any additional or specialist work required.

All Services are subject to availability and may vary depending on the condition of the items to be cleaned, access to the Premises, and other factors outside the Companys control. The Company does not guarantee that any particular stain, odour, or defect will be fully removed.

Booking Process

Bookings may be made by the Customer through the Companys accepted booking channels. When making a booking, the Customer must provide accurate and complete information, including:

Full address of the Premises.

Type and size of the areas or items to be cleaned.

Any known stains, damage, or special requirements.

Preferred date and time for the Service.

Access details for the Premises.

The Company will confirm acceptance of a booking and the agreed date and time for the Service. A booking is only considered confirmed when the Company has issued a confirmation and, where applicable, received any required deposit or pre-payment.

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that someone with authority to grant access to the Premises is present at the agreed time, or that alternative arrangements for access have been agreed in advance with the Company.

Customer Responsibilities Prior to Service

The Customer must ensure that:

All personal items, valuables, fragile objects, and breakables are safely stored away before the Technician arrives.

Areas to be cleaned are accessible, with sufficient space for the Technician to work and use equipment.

Parking arrangements are in place where necessary, and any parking fees or permits required to access the Premises are clearly communicated to the Company in advance.

Electricity and water are available at the Premises for the duration of the Service, where needed.

If the Premises are excessively cluttered, unsafe, or unsuitable for the performance of the Services, the Company may refuse to proceed, may adapt the Services, or may charge additional fees where extra time or work is required.

Pricing and Quotations

The Company will provide the Customer with an estimated price based on the information supplied at the time of booking. All prices are given in pounds sterling. Any quotation is based on standard working conditions and the accuracy of the information provided by the Customer.

The Company reserves the right to adjust the price if, upon arrival at the Premises, the actual condition, size, or complexity of the job differs from the description initially provided. In such cases, the Technician will inform the Customer of any change in price before proceeding, where reasonably possible.

Any additional Services requested on the day of the appointment that were not included in the original booking may incur extra charges. The Customer will be informed of such charges before the additional work is undertaken.

Payments

Payment terms will be communicated to the Customer at the time of booking. The Company may accept various forms of payment such as cashless card payments or bank transfer, subject to availability and the Companys current payment options.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on the day the Services are performed and must be made in full upon completion of the work. For some bookings, the Company may require a deposit to secure the appointment. Deposits are generally non-refundable except where the Company cancels the Service or as otherwise set out in these Terms and Conditions.

Where payment is not received on time, the Company reserves the right to charge interest and, if necessary, to pursue recovery of any outstanding amounts through appropriate means. The Customer will be responsible for any reasonable costs incurred by the Company in the course of recovering overdue payments.

Cancellations and Amendments

If the Customer wishes to cancel or amend a booking, they must notify the Company as soon as reasonably possible through the same or an agreed booking channel. The following cancellation terms apply:

Where the Customer cancels more than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time, no cancellation fee will usually be charged, subject to any specific agreement at the time of booking.

Where the Customer cancels within 48 hours of the appointment, the Company may charge a cancellation fee, which may be up to a significant percentage of the total service price, to cover administrative and scheduling costs.

If the Customer is not present or access cannot be gained to the Premises at the agreed time, this may be treated as a late cancellation and the full or partial service fee may become payable.

The Company will use reasonable efforts to accommodate requests to reschedule appointments, subject to availability. Rescheduling within 48 hours of the appointment may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking, and may incur fees.

The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking where necessary due to unforeseen circumstances such as staff illness, vehicle breakdown, extreme weather, or access limitations. In such circumstances, the Company will notify the Customer as soon as reasonably possible and will seek to offer an alternative appointment. If an alternative cannot be agreed, any pre-paid amounts for the cancelled Service will be refunded.

Access and Health and Safety

The Customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the Premises. Technicians are not permitted to move heavy furniture or items that could cause damage or pose a risk to health and safety unless specifically agreed and assessed as safe.

The Company adheres to applicable health and safety legislation. If conditions at the Premises are deemed hazardous, unsanitary, or otherwise unsuitable, the Technician may refuse to perform all or part of the Services. In such cases, the Company may charge a call-out or cancellation fee.

Use of Cleaning Products and Equipment

The Company will generally supply all necessary cleaning equipment and materials. Where the Customer requests the use of their own products or equipment, the Company will have no liability for any damage or poor results caused by those products or equipment.

The Customer must inform the Company in advance of any known sensitivities, allergies, or restrictions relating to cleaning products or processes at the Premises. The Company will consider reasonable requests to use alternative products, subject to availability and practicality.

Condition of Carpets and Other Items

The Customer is responsible for informing the Company of the age, condition, and any previous damage or repairs to carpets, rugs, or upholstery to be cleaned. Delicate, worn, or damaged materials may react unpredictably to cleaning processes.

While the Company will exercise reasonable care and skill, it cannot be held responsible for any pre-existing damage or for the appearance of defects that become more visible after cleaning, such as shading, pile distortion, colour fading, or loosening of seams.

The Company does not guarantee complete removal of all stains or odours. Some stains may be permanent, and some odours may be embedded in underlay or subflooring beyond the reach of standard cleaning methods.

Liability and Limitations

The Company will provide the Services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable consumer and business protection laws in the United Kingdom. If the Customer believes the Services have not been carried out with reasonable care and skill, they must notify the Company promptly and give the Company a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, if appropriate, rectify the issue.

The Companys liability for any direct loss or damage arising from the provision of the Services shall, to the fullest extent permitted by law, be limited to the total amount paid or payable by the Customer for the specific Service in question.

The Company shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of opportunity.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Companys liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Waste Handling and Environmental Regulations

The Company will dispose of any waste generated during the provision of the Services in accordance with relevant waste and environmental regulations in the United Kingdom.

Where the Services result in the collection of small quantities of general waste, such as used cleaning materials or packaging, the Company will remove this from the Premises unless instructed otherwise, and will dispose of it responsibly.

The Company is not a licensed carrier of large volumes of domestic or commercial waste. Any removal or disposal of bulky items, furniture, or non-standard waste is not included in the standard Services unless explicitly agreed in writing in advance, and may be subject to additional charges and different terms.

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the Premises comply with relevant waste storage and disposal requirements and for informing the Company of any specific local rules or restrictions relating to waste handling or disposal.

Complaints and Service Issues

If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they should contact the Company as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of completion of the job. The Company may request photographs, a description of the issue, and the opportunity to inspect the Premises.

Where the Company considers a complaint to be justified, it may, at its discretion, offer to re-clean the affected area or provide an appropriate partial refund. Any such resolution will be offered as a full and final settlement of the complaint for the specific Service in question.

Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions where such delay or failure is caused by events beyond its reasonable control. This may include, without limitation, extreme weather, power outages, transport disruptions, accidents, public health emergencies, or changes in law or regulation.

Data Protection and Privacy

The Company will only collect and use personal data provided by the Customer for legitimate business purposes, such as managing bookings, delivering Services, handling payments, and addressing enquiries or complaints, in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws.

The Company will take reasonable steps to protect personal data from unauthorised access, misuse, or loss. Personal data will not be sold to third parties. Information may be shared with trusted partners or service providers only where necessary to deliver the Services or comply with legal obligations.

Amendments to these Terms and Conditions

The Company may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will take effect from the date they are published or otherwise communicated. The version in force at the time of the Customers booking will apply to that particular Service.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by any court or competent authority, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or, if that is not possible, deleted. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Both the Company and the Customer agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Services, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that may allow a Customer to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction.

By booking and using the Services of Carpet Cleaners Battersea, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
